Wi-Fi Network Requirements

  1. Frequency Band:

  1. Wi-Fi should operate on the 2.4 GHz frequency band.

  1. The IoT device does not support 5 GHz and will not connect to 5 GHz networks.

  1. File System for Wi-Fi Configuration Pendrive:

  1. The pendrive used for Wi-Fi configuration should have the FAT32 or exFAT file system.

  1. Network Visibility:

  1. The Wi-Fi network's SSID (network name) should be visible and not hidden.

  1. Password Protection:

  1. The Wi-Fi network should be password protected for security purposes.

  1. A strong and secure password should be used to prevent unauthorized access.

  1. We support the WPA2 authentication protocol.

  1. Wi-Fi Channels:

  1. Wi-Fi channels used should comply with the allowed channels in India for the 2.4 GHz band.

  1. The following channels are permitted in India: Channel 1 (2.412 GHz), Channel 2 (2.417 GHz), Channel 3 (2.422 GHz), Channel 4 (2.427 GHz), Channel 5 (2.432 GHz), Channel 6 (2.437 GHz), Channel 7 (2.442 GHz), Channel 8 (2.447 GHz), Channel 9 (2.452 GHz), Channel 10 (2.457 GHz), and Channel 11 (2.462 GHz).
